Why You’ll Love It
An incredible Rococo cartel wall mirror, handcrafted in 2007 by the late UK master artisan and IGMA Fellow, John Hodgson. It is plated in brilliant 22kt gold. Cast with a breathtaking level of detail, the frame features classic 18th-century French Rococo asymmetry. It is heavily decorated with deeply undercut acanthus leaf scrolls, fluid C-scrolls, and organic floral flourishes. The top crown boasts a beautiful, sweeping architectural wave that mimics a cresting ocean wave or stylized plumage, a hallmark of high-end Rococo metalwork. Tapering elegantly down into an openwork cartouche accented by a central hand-cast flower blossom. Fitted with an optically true glass mirror insert, giving an authentic scale reflection to high-end miniature rooms.
Perfect for a French Rococo salon, Louis XV bedroom, château dressing room, grand entrance hall or gilded gallery wall.
