A whimsical and beautifully detailed early Randall Zadar miniature, this retired 1997 piece titled “Angels At Play” features a graceful winged figure accompanied by a tiny cherub, both surrounded by delicate pink blossoms and flowing Rococo-inspired scrollwork. Soft pastel enameling, gilt accents, and finely sculpted wings create an elegant sense of movement and charm. Produced as #34 of Zadar’s creations, this early micro miniature was limited to only 79 examples ever made. Inspired by an antique bronze original, each piece was created using the ancient lost wax bronze casting process, beginning as a hand-sculpted wax model before being individually cast and meticulously hand-finished by Randall Zadar. Rich with romantic character and extraordinary detail for its tiny scale, this enchanting treasure makes a beautiful shelf sitter for a dollhouse parlor, nursery, or fairy-inspired vignette.
