Why You’ll Love It
A beautifully nostalgic and exceptionally early Randall Zadar miniature, this retired 1995 piece titled “Grandpa’s Story” is inspired by a porcelain work by Antonio Borsato, capturing a tender storytelling moment between an elderly grandfather and a young child seated beside him. Richly sculpted details—from the child’s flowing dress and grandfather’s clothing to the tiny stool and textured ground beneath them—bring warmth and life to this intimate scene. Produced as #19 of Zadar’s creations, this early micro miniature was limited to only 48 examples in the natural bronze colorway. Crafted using the ancient lost wax bronze casting process, each piece began as a hand-sculpted wax original before being individually cast and meticulously hand-finished by Randall Zadar. Full of charm and sentiment, this tiny treasure makes a beautiful shelf sitter for a dollhouse nursery, study, parlor, or family scene vignette.
