Why You’ll Love It
A wonderfully serene and beautifully understated miniature, this retired 2009 Randall Zadar piece titled “Ivory Frog One” features a content little frog seated in a sculptural pose inspired by traditional ivory Netsuke carvings, with softly modeled features and warm hand-shaded ivory tones that emphasize its smooth, organic form. Produced as #148 of Zadar’s creations, this charming micro miniature was limited to only 41 examples ever actually made. Crafted using the ancient lost wax bronze casting process, each piece began as a hand-sculpted wax original before being individually cast and meticulously hand-finished by the artist. Its clean, minimalist design feels both whimsical and refined, making it a delightful shelf sitter for a dollhouse library, garden room, study, or curio vignette.
