Why You’ll Love It
Graceful, regal, and richly detailed, this exquisite Catherine of Aragon marionette captures the elegance of Henry VIII's first queen in miniature form. Handcrafted by renowned artisan Almudena Gonzalez, this tiny theatrical figure blends historical authenticity with exceptional craftsmanship, making it a remarkable addition to any Tudor collection, miniature theater, or royal display.
Queen Catherine has an elegant hand-painted porcelain face, long dark brown hair, and an ornate, crescent-shaped gold Gable hood—the iconic headdress of the early Tudor court. She is dressed in a lavish Tudor gown featuring a deep burgundy velvet underskirt panel split by a vertical gold lace trim. The outer gown and long, flared sleeves are made of a dark patterned mesh overlay, heavily bordered with metallic gold lace trimming and a matching gold waist sash. She hangs suspended by fine strings from a miniature wooden T-bar controller.
Perfect for a puppet theater, Tudor court scene, royal palace, historical vignette, miniature museum display, an old world nursery or playroom, or a collection of artisan marionettes and period characters.

A Note About Value
Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.
Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.
A Commitment to Research
Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
