Her clay-sculpted face is rich with personality, featuring deep-set painted eyes, realistic wrinkles, and a gentle, knowing expression. She is dressed in a stunning brown gown is layered beneath a luxurious antique iridescent silk overskirt, and antique cream lace cascades across the bodice, collar, shawl, and front panels. The dramatic ensemble is crowned by a magnificent Victorian hat adorned with antique striped silk, silk ribbon work, feather plumes and a glass beaded hatpin that frame her elegantly styled white hair. A finely crafted black parasol is held peacefully in one hand, suggesting a lady returning from a promenade, afternoon visit, or social engagement.
