Why You’ll Love It
Elegant, ambitious, and forever entwined with Tudor history, this stunning Anne Boleyn marionette captures the style and intrigue of England's most famous queen consort in exquisite miniature form. Handcrafted by artisan Almudena Gonzalez, this beautifully detailed puppet combines historical costume accuracy with the charm of traditional marionette artistry, creating a piece that is both theatrical and collectible.
The doll features a hand-painted porcelain face, styled with light brown hair tucked into a classic black and gold French hood, the signature fashion headdress that Anne Boleyn famously popularized at the English court. She also features a prominent purple gemstone pendant at her neckline. She is dressed in an elegant Tudor-period gown made of deep purple linen fabric. The open-front overskirt is trimmed with detailed gold lace, revealing a dark, patterned black and purple damask underskirt beneath. Her long sleeves are finished with fur-trimmed cuffs. She hangs suspended by fine strings from a miniature wooden controller.
Perfect for a puppet theater, Tudor court scene, royal palace, historical vignette, miniature museum display, an old world nursery or playroom, or a collection of artisan marionettes and period characters.

A Note About Value
Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.
Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.
A Commitment to Research
Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
