Why You’ll Love It

This dashing pirate marionette is a one-of-a-kind miniature treasure created by celebrated artisan Loretta Kasza and custom commissioned for Maureen's remarkable puppet maker's workshop collection. Designed as a true marionette for a dollhouse doll to manipulate and perform with.

He features a hand-painted porcelain face detailed with a dark, long flowing mustache. He has long, curly black hair and wears tall black pirate-style boots. He is dressed in a swashbuckling ensemble consisting of a deep burgundy tunic coat with white lace-trimmed cuffs and a matching ruffled lace cravat. A dark, patterned shoulder sword belt is slung across his chest, and his look is completed with a wide-brimmed black tricorn or cavalier hat. He hangs suspended by fine strings from a miniature wooden T-bar controller at the top.

Perfect for a puppet maker's workshop, pirate-themed scene, nautical display, miniature theater, adventure vignette, storybook setting, seaside shop, nursery or children's play room.

A Note About Value

Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.

Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.

A Commitment to Research

Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
