WHY YOU’LL LOVE HER:  A whimsical teacup diorama! It begins with a human-sized porcelain teacup with a blue leafy ivy design and gold gilt lip, filled to its brim... not with tea, of course, but rather with a variety of laces and silk ribbons in hues of white and blue, as well as a little feathered bluebird perched on its rim. Nestled in the heap of trims is a tiny artisan made dollhouse doll baby girl with a jointed porcelain body, hand painted face, and a head or angelic blonde curls. Everything is glued into place in this diorama.

STYLING: A unique diorama to display in a special miniature collection, it would make a fabulous shelf sitter or display case piece in a room dedicated to miniatures. Also a wonderful gift for the miniature enthusiast in your life!

  • MATERIALS: Porcelain.
  • DIMENSIONS: Doll inside is 1:12 scale, and is roughly 1 3/4” tall
  • CONDITION: Excellent condition for its age. Carefully stored for many years, never displayed.
  • HISTORY/PROVENANCE: Original handmade vintage dollhouse miniature diorama dating back to the 1980s. Artisan is unknown, as it is unsigned.
  • COLLECTION: This diorama is part of the wonderful lifetime collection of Lorraine, from New Jersey.

*PLEASE NOTE: You are purchasing the teacup diorama with doll only. Think of our photos as a whimsical stage set, where your amazing new miniature takes center stage. The other props may not join you, but the star of the show is ready to shine!

A Note About Value

Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.

Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.

A Commitment to Research

Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
