Why You’ll Love It
A confection of charm and imagination, this OOAK miniature mouse by Aleah Klay is a celebration of whimsy at its most delightful. With her soft grey fur, dreamy closed eyes, and serene expression, she appears lost in a sweet reverie. Her extraordinary dress is sculpted to resemble layered ice cream scoops in soft pastels—pink, chocolate, and mint—each tier detailed with delicate textures and playful accents. Topping it all, her oversized floppy hat is adorned with sculpted ice cream cones and slices of cake, transforming her into a living dessert fantasy. Every element—from the gentle tilt of her head to the intricate confectionery motifs—showcases Klay’s signature storytelling artistry, making this piece feel both tender and joyfully imaginative.

About the Artist
Aleah Klay is a self-taught American miniaturist based in Salt Lake City, Utah, celebrated for her exquisitely detailed, one-of-a-kind (OOAK) micro-sculptures. Working at an astonishing scale—often just ½ inch to 1¼ inches tall—she hand-sculpts each figure from polymer clay over a wire armature, using a sewing needle to achieve remarkable precision. Her work is instantly recognizable for its whimsical, storybook charm, often depicting anthropomorphic animals and innocent, fairy-tale characters brought to life with delicately applied fibers and hand-painted features. Deeply inspired by childhood wonder and imagination, each piece carries its own quiet narrative—tiny, soulful, and increasingly rare as her work has become difficult to find in recent years.

A Note About Value
Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.
Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.
A Commitment to Research
Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
