Inspired by antique Meissen porcelain, this elegant retired 2015 Randall Zadar miniature titled “Custom Base” was created as piece 1 of 6 in his celebrated Porcelain Set. Delicately sculpted with flowing rococo scrollwork, tiny floral accents, and soft pale blue enamel, it was designed to display the remaining figures from the set. Hand numbered 23/50 and designated #230 of Zadar’s creations, it was crafted through the ancient lost wax bronze casting process, beginning as a hand-sculpted wax original before being individually cast and meticulously hand finished. A beautiful standalone display piece for a refined dollhouse vignette.
