This is a beautifully handcrafted miniature Windsor armchair, a classic sack-back Windsor chair, an American staple of eighteenth- and nineteenth-century homes. It features the iconic double bow crest rail, formed in a continuous curved hoop that joins the gently sweeping arm supports. Slender hand-turned spindles rise from the arm rail to the upper crest, creating the light, airy appearance that defines traditional Windsor furniture. The seat is carefully shaped with a subtle saddle seat contour. Finished in a rich dark stain.
