This artisan-made porcelain lady is dressed in a beautifully detailed costume inspired by fashions of the 1560s–1570s. Her cream-colored kirtle is richly decorated with hand embroidery in blue, gold, and warm accent tones, while a long black loose gown adds contrast and period drama. She has softly styled auburn hair, delicate porcelain features, and she is standing only with a built-in, well-concealed stand. A handwritten tag beneath her skirt reads “1560-70 Embroidered Kirtle often worn under a loose gown,” offering a lovely historical note to accompany the piece. She is unsigned.
