Why You’ll Love It
The final wife of Henry VIII is beautifully represented in this elegant Catherine Parr marionette, handcrafted by renowned miniature artisan Almudena Gonzalez. Combining the charm of a traditional puppet with the grandeur of Tudor court fashion, this tiny queen captures the intelligence, dignity, and sophistication for which Catherine Parr is remembered.
The Queen features a hand-painted porcelain face, styled with dark hair tucked under a traditional gold-trimmed hood headdress. She wears an elaborate gold chain necklace featuring a prominent purple gemstone pendant at her chest. She is dressed in a stately Tudor court gown made of a dark moss-colored overskirt with an open front. This splits to show a tightly woven gold patterned underskirt, which is further accented by a long gold chain girdle ending in a pink gemstone drop. Her look is completed by a lighter moss-green textured shawl trimmed with green faux fur along the bottom hem. She hangs suspended by fine black strings from a miniature wooden controller.
Perfect for a puppet theater, Tudor court scene, royal palace, historical vignette, miniature museum display, an old world nursery or playroom, or a collection of artisan marionettes and period characters.
