This one-of-a-kind Louis XV Lit à la Duchesse daybed is a masterpiece by the American miniaturist June Clinkscales. Handcrafted in 2009 at an exact 1:12 scale, this breathtaking canopied daybed showcases the lavish elegance of 18th-century French interiors. The sculpted wooden frame is crowned by an ornate Rococo crest with flowing gilded ornamentation, supporting a dramatic canopy draped in sumptuous antique-gold silk. Every fold has been individually arranged and permanently set to create the graceful cascades and theatrical swags found in full-sized aristocratic furnishings. The muted sage-green and cream woven damask fabric is accented with coordinating piping. A collection of coordinated pillows, including a hand-tied bolster.
