Why You’ll Love It

This 1:12 scale miniature vignette by Maureen Thomas features two young girls seated closely together on a charming child-sized Victorian-style settee, creating a beautifully composed nursery or period interior scene.

Both girls have softly painted faces with rosy cheeks and auburn-brown hair styled in full period-inspired updos. They wear delicate cream and white dresses with lace detailing at the necklines, sleeves, and hems. The girl on the left wears a pale dress with subtle vertical pink striping, while the girl on the right is dressed in a soft solid cream ensemble.

The included settee features a dark-stained wooden frame, curved arms, and shaped legs, with golden-yellow upholstered seat and back panels that frame the figures beautifully. The girls’ close seated pose gives the piece an intimate, storybook quality that works especially well as a ready-made display vignette.

Perfect for

A Victorian nursery, Edwardian children’s room, period parlor, sibling scene, antique-inspired dollhouse, or miniature figure collection.

A Note About Value

Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.

Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.

A Commitment to Research

Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
