Inspired by the beloved Pierrot character of French pantomime and commedia dell'arte, this tiny hand-painted toy is made of hand-painted English Pewter by Warwick Miniatures (England). The Pierrot comes with his dark wooden presentation box. He is dressed in a traditional white costume accented with black trim, a ruffled collar, and black cap. In his hands he carries a bouquet of red roses. His arms are hinged so that the bouquet can be lifted or lowered in front of him. The sliding lid of his custom box is decorated with a charming vintage-style illustration of the Pierrot himself, echoing the colorful graphics found on antique toy boxes and mechanical novelties.
Whether displayed in a toy shop, nursery, theater scene or elegant Victorian parlor, this unique miniature immediately becomes a conversation piece.
