Why You’ll Love It

A striking 1:12 scale artisan porcelain gentleman doll with a finely sculpted porcelain head, hands, and feet and a flexible fabric body that allows him to be posed seated or standing. His face is hand-painted with strong period character, including a thick black mustache, dark hair streaked with grey, and pronounced sideburns.

He is dressed in a handsome deep navy frock coat and matching trousers with a rich, slightly lustrous finish. Beneath the coat is a contrasting dark velvet waistcoat, layered over a high white collar and finished with a silk necktie. The deep blue palette and formal tailoring give him a particularly elegant Victorian or Edwardian appearance, while his poseable construction makes him versatile for a variety of miniature scenes.

Perfect for

A Victorian parlor, gentleman’s club, formal dining room, study, library, hotel lounge, theater scene, or period social gathering. He would work beautifully as a businessman, host, club member, attorney, or distinguished houseguest.

A Note About Value

Every miniature we offer has been carefully evaluated for its craftsmanship, rarity, condition, provenance, and collectibility. Many of the artisan pieces we sell are one-of-a-kind works that may never appear on the market again. While original retail prices provide an interesting historical reference, they rarely reflect decades of appreciation, the artist's legacy, or the scarcity of surviving examples.

Our pricing reflects the miniature's place within today's collector market and the years we've spent studying the artists, histories, and values that make these tiny works of art so special.

A Commitment to Research

Every miniature has a story, and uncovering it is one of our greatest passions. We carefully research each piece, but unsigned or illegible works can remain mysteries. If you can identify an artist or provide additional information, we'd be delighted to hear from you and will gladly update the listing to preserve their legacy.
