Why You’ll Love It

A charming addition to any dollhouse library, writing desk, or Victorian parlor, this is a 1:12 scale miniature hardcover edition of Prue and I that faithfully recreates one of the most beloved American literary classics of the 19th century. Though the maker is unsigned, it is beautifully constructed with quality binding and readable printed pages.

The original work, Prue and I, was published in 1856 by George William Curtis (1824–1892), the celebrated American author, essayist, and public speaker. The book follows an aging bookkeeper and his enduring love for his wife, Prue, which made it a favorite among Victorian readers. It has a distinctive blue-and-white patterned paper-over-board cover. A simple cream title label reading "PRUE AND I" decorates the front cover, and pages that are readable with a magnifying glass.
