Inspired by antique Meissen porcelain, this retired 2015 Randall Zadar miniature titled “Peacock” features a delicately hand-painted bird with an elegant fanned tail in soft shades of blue, green, and gold. Piece 2 of 6 in Zadar’s celebrated Porcelain Set, this tiny treasure was crafted in cold-painted bronze enamel using the ancient lost wax bronze casting process, beginning as a hand-sculpted wax original before being individually cast and meticulously hand finished. Hand numbered 23/50, it makes a beautiful little shelf sitter for a dollhouse vitrine, mantel, or rococo-inspired scene.
