Why You’ll Love It
An elegant tilt-top table, a replica in miniature of an actual eighteenth-century English pie crust table, expertly made by artisan Mark Hoffman (MH), dated 1980 on the underside. The circular tabletop features the distinctive scalloped pie crust edge. Beneath the top is a functioning tilt-top mechanism, allowing the tabletop to fold vertically just as full-sized examples did. Historically, these tables could be tucked against a wall when not in use, making them both practical and elegant additions to eighteenth-century homes. It is supported by a finely turned baluster pedestal on three graceful cabriole legs. The warm walnut wood finish is a beautiful final detail.
Perfect for placing beside a chair in a drawing room, displayed in a Georgian parlor, used as a tea table, or incorporated into an elegant Victorian setting.
