A beautiful miniature steamer trunk, it is signed and dated 1992 by artisan Karen Penland, carefully constructed from a Susan Russo kit. The trunk features the classic dome-top or barrel-top design the type of trunk that would have accompanied travelers aboard ocean liners and railway journeys. The wooden body contrasts beautifully against the black leather straps, complete with tiny brass buckles and decorative hardware.
A perfect piece for placing at the foot of a bed, beside a traveler's luggage cart, in an attic, railway station, ship cabin, or elegant period bedroom.
