Why You’ll Love It
A charming Hamlet Cloves grocer's jar has been attributed to the late British IGMA artisan Terry Curran by the former owner. Though unsigned, the piece is highly consistent with Curran's sought-after Hamlet grocer series. The petite porcelain urn is adorned with delicate hand-painted gold gilt bands and a rich purple accent ring beneath the lid. The beautifully executed transfer label displays the distinguished "Hamlet & Sons Ltd. Established in 1820" crest complete with a regal emblem, decorative scrollwork, and the hallmark HAMLET SUPERIOR branding. Below, the word "CLOVES" appears in bold blue lettering, just as one might find on a fine grocer's or apothecary container in the late nineteenth century.
Perfect for displaying in a Victorian pantry, country kitchen, grocer's shop, apothecary, butler's pantry, merchant's store, or fine miniature ceramics collection.
