This beautifully handcrafted 1:12 scale Gustavian-style commode was created, signed, and dated 1996 by miniature artist Charlotte Hunt. Inspired by late 18th-century Swedish Gustavian furniture, the piece blends French Louis XVI neoclassical influence with the lighter, more restrained elegance associated with Scandinavian interiors. The three-drawer chest is hand painted with delicate floral detailing, including a fine vine motif across the top drawer and a graceful bow-and-garland swag spanning the lower drawers. Tiny brass ring pulls, keyhole escutcheons, painted leg ornament, and a softly veined faux-marble top complete the period look.
