This beautifully handcrafted 1:12 scale miniature plan chest by Spanish artisan Taller Targioni is a wonderfully unusual piece for a study, library, or architect’s room. Inspired by antique late-Victorian and Edwardian drawing cabinets, it features a stack of six wide, shallow drawers designed in the manner of full-size map and blueprint chests. Each drawer is fitted with a tiny polished brass clam shell pull and opens smoothly to reveal detailed reproductions of vintage world maps inside. Elevated on elegant turned legs, the piece has the refinement of fine furniture while preserving the wonderfully practical character of an antique working cabinet.
